START’s Differentiated Output Hierarchy provides a framework for developing individualized academic modifications that help increase engagement and independence. Participants will work collaboratively to identify appropriate differentiation strategies to assist students with ASD and other disabilities to access and independently engage in the academic curriculum. Grading plans will also be discussed. This training is designed for special education and general education teams to attend together and collaboration time will be included. Parents are welcome to attend. It is recommended that teams bring grade level curriculum work to collaborate and practice differentiation strategies. Lunch will be provided.
