This three-part series with Jenelle Williams, Ed.S, Literacy Consultant at Oakland Schools and Disciplinary Literacy Task Force Co-Chair for MAISA GELN, is the secondary 6–12 component of Genesee County’s countywide literacy professional learning. District and building teams will deepen their understanding of disciplinary literacy, explore the Essential Instructional Practices and Schoolwide Practices, identify where disciplinary literacy fits within PA 146, and co-construct a clear vision and action plan to support implementation across secondary classrooms.
