STEAM: Kites 2025-2026

This professional learning session will focus on effective approaches to small group and individual instruction in literacy. Participants will explore strategies for using flexible grouping based on students’ observed and assessed needs in specific aspects of reading and writing development, rather than on perceived general ability or level. Through discussion, modeling, and planning, educators will learn how to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of their students. Emphasis will be placed on using data to form intentional groups, tailoring instruction to specific literacy goals, and adjusting support as students grow. This session is designed to empower teachers with practical tools and strategies to maximize the impact of small group instruction and accelerate literacy development for all learners
