This intensive 6-day training will include both professional learning and practical application with the expectation of implementation in classrooms, buildings and districts. Day 1: Defining MTSS, components, roles/responsibility and collaborative culture. Day 2: Understanding the guaranteed and viable curriculum, essential standards, formative assessment and aligning assessments to standards (+interactive web conference 75 min). Day 3: Determining student access to standards, exam universal screeners and efficiency, identify social and academic behaviors to be taught and delivered, providing proactive interventions. Day 4: Empower teacher teams to lead interventions, identifying prerequisite skills and extension activities, understanding progress monitoring(+interactive web conference 75 min). Day 5: Determining tier 2 interventions and referral process identifying a problem/solving process, prioritizing resources. Day 6: Determining tier 3 interventions and remediation, short and long - term planning.
