This training will cover the foundations of communication and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) including what it is, who would benefit, and how to get started. We will also cover AAC best practices for implementation and practice using low, mid, and high tech communication systems. This training is beneficial for any staff member supporting students with communication needs, including special educators, para-educators, general education teachers, and speech-language pathologists. Parents are also welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided.
