START Mini Intensive Team training is designed for K-12 special education teams to attend multiple days of professional development together while working collaboratively to plan and implement evidence-based strategies to support students with ASD and other disabilities. At a minimum, teams should include the special education teacher, general education teacher, speech and language provider, and school social worker. Teams are strongly encouraged to include paraeducators, parents, administrators, occupational therapists and behavior support staff that are involved in supporting at least one focus student in the classroom to be able to plan for implementation and data collection back in the classroom. This training does require your building and/or special education administrator to approve and support the 3 full days of training during the 2026-2027 school year.
