Peer to Peer is rooted in evidence-based practices, initiated by school staff and embedded within a school community, and intentionally connects students with and without disabilities across the school day to promote belonging for all students. There are no prerequisites for participating in Peer to Peer. Simply put, Peer to Peer is for everyone. Just as our students benefit from Peer-to-Peer programs, us adults learn and grow when we share our experiences. Peer to Peer roundtables bring together both existing and new P2P program leaders from Genesee County to hear about START updates and resources from across the state of Michigan, share expertise with each other and problem solve ways to begin and sustain P2P programs. If you are thinking of starting a Peer-to-Peer program and want to learn from experienced teams, join our roundtable to learn more. If you are leading a Peer-to-Peer program and want to learn ways to expand and sustain your programs, come the Roundtable to gain insight and suggestions from others. Light refreshments will be provided and/or participants are welcome to bring their lunches and eat while we collaborate.
