In this program students will learn the backyard basics of how a simple Maple tree can create magic right before their eyes. You may know maple syrup as your favorite topping for pancakes, but do you know how it got from a maple tree to your plate? Join Ranger Jason at Ligon in March to learn about this popular spring time tradition. Students will learn the science behind the sweet sap, participate in the steps from tapping to tasting, and help turn sap to syrup. This guided program has quickly become a fan favorite and is offered for one classroom per day. Get your reservations in ASAP as spots are limited!
