Differentiated Literacy Practices with EL
3-Day Cohort of learning to explore the differences of literacy instruction with EL. Participants will learn about literacy development specific to EL, including the issues of phonemic transfer from the first to second language, the critical need for additional oral language development, and ways to build comprehensibility into existing lessons. Guidance of Tier 2 / Tier 3 supports for EL in included. It is strongly recommended that participants have attended Foundations of Working with English Learners prior to the cohort.
